Season

autumn leaves

I fall
On my knees,
Kneading
My needs
Into something
That is not
You,
As
The sun
Of your wants
Rises
On a
Season
That is
Not
Me.

Happiness | A.R. Ammons

May happiness
pursue you,

catch you
often, and,

should it
lose you,

be waiting
ahead, making

a clearing
for you.

Traffic Light Life

RainyNightLightBokeh5-5930

Life
Speeds so fast through
That green light glow,
Windows down, songs on loud
In an almost home.
It’s the smell of
Burning pavement,
Warm cologne, clammy skin and
Beers on loan.
Life
Ebbs and flows,
Slows and goes.
Moments of red,
Breaths of yellow.
It keeps going,
Till the going has gone.
And after that,
Life, still
Goes
On.
